Service-Request Agent
Service requests triaged, drafted, and routed
What it is
Service traffic is what fills a CSR's day: add a driver, swap a vehicle, add an additional insured, send the auto ID cards, why did the bill go up, cancel the old location. Each one is small. Together they are most of the payroll. The Service-Request Agent reads each request, works out what it is and which policy it touches, drafts the AMS activity with the proposed action, and routes it. The simple ones (send me my policy, send me ID cards) it fulfills from the AMS with one approval.
Per request, the agent:
- reads the inbound email, portal form, or transcribed voicemail;
- classifies it into your service categories (we tune to your existing activity codes, not a generic taxonomy);
- matches it to the account and the specific policy, and flags ambiguity instead of guessing;
- drafts the AMS activity with the proposed action and any data extracted (new driver's license details, VIN, effective date);
- routes to the CSR or producer per your rules (by account owner, by line, by carrier);
- for document requests, pulls the document from the AMS and drafts the reply for approval;
- reports weekly volume by category, so you can see what is eating the team's time.
What it is not
- It does not bind, endorse, or change coverage. It drafts the activity; a licensed person does the change.
- It does not talk to carrier systems on your behalf.
- It is not a chat widget. Clients still email or call the people they know.
How we work with you
The work is billed hourly on a time-and-materials basis. A typical engagement runs about six weeks; intake channels and voicemail transcription are the main variables.
- Silent run first. Classification and account matching run against 60 days of your service mailbox, measured against how your team actually coded them.
- Write-back and routing. AMS activity write-back, routing rules, document fulfillment with approval.
- Supervised go-live. Live for one service team first, then rollout with a runbook, an accuracy report, and the first volume report.
Ongoing operations work keeps it accurate as carriers and the AMS change.
Where to start
This is the widest workflow and the one where classification quality matters most, so it goes faster when the AMS integration, mailbox handling, and approval patterns have already been proven on Renewal Radar or the COI Agent. Starting here works too; it simply carries more of the integration hours up front.
