Contract work for engineers who ship

Bindmatic is a small consulting practice, not a staffing firm. The engineers who work with us are senior, US-based, and paid by the hour for work on real agency systems: reading and writing Applied Epic, HawkSoft, and EZLynx through their published APIs, extracting data from ACORD forms and loss runs, and building the approval workflows that keep a licensed human on every send.

We engage contractors when client work calls for it, and we keep a short list of people we trust. If you have shipped production systems against messy real-world data, and you can explain your work to an agency principal without hiding behind jargon, we would like to know you before we need you.

There is no bench and no recruiter pipeline. Send a note through the form with what you have built, links if they exist, and the kind of work you want more of. An engineer reads every submission and replies to the ones that fit.

Senior work only

No ticket queues. You scope the problem with the client, build it, and stand behind it in production.

Remote, US-based

Work from anywhere in the United States. Occasional onsite time at an agency when it genuinely helps.

Paid by the hour

Time and materials, invoiced for the hours you work. No unpaid spec work, no deferred-comp promises.

Real production stakes

Agents run on live books under E&O scrutiny. The work is careful, logged, and reviewed.

Senior Integration Engineer — Contract, Remote (US)

Remote

Build and maintain integrations with Applied Epic, HawkSoft, and EZLynx APIs, carrier portals, and document pipelines. Strong Python or TypeScript, comfort with OAuth, webhooks, and PDFs that lie. Insurance domain experience helps but is not required.

Tell us what you have built and where we can see it. Three specific paragraphs beat a resume; links to code or write-ups beat both.
